After a long pause of 8 years I will participate at the World Championship 2007 in Monte Carlo this year. I've been there three times so far with pretty good results:
- 1993 - Beginners: Winner (Main)
- 1998 - Championship: Semifinal (Main)
- 1999 - Championship: Round of Last 32 (Main)
Actually I haven't planned anything, but a good old friend from the Netherlands whom I haven't seen for more than 3 years (iirc it was at his wedding the last time we met) sent me an e-mail in May with the content "Are you going to Monte Carlo this year? I have plans."
So I called my "government" and told her: "Maus, we have three options! I'll stay at home, I'll go together with Sikko and leave you here alone or we both go and you're invited by me." Surprisingly enough she chose the latter!

Similar to Nordic Open 2007 - and depending on whether we'll have internet access there - I'll write a blog about this trip containing recorded matches, positions, results, photos and hopefully some success stories.
